Morpheus Mp3 File Sharing Program
Music City Morpheus is the former champ of the latest file sharing craze. However, due to some pretty hefty legal problems, the program is constantly trying to reinvent itself through money making schemes and avoiding copyright infringement.
What it does
Like most file sharing tools now, Morpheus lets you search for audio, video, and picture files through keyword search. Load it up, type what you are looking for, and the program scans through other users on the system to see what it can find for you. Once you have found the file you want, you can begin to download. One drawback is that you don't get to see the quality of MP3 file you are downloading so you don't know if the file is playable or just junk.
Is it safe to download?
Morpheus includes ad supported software that buries you in advertisements and also a shopping utility. If you buy anything with the shopping utility, your purchases will be catalogued to deliver targeted ads to you. Nice, thanks....NOT! Morpheus does not have a decent privacy policy on their site so you don't know exactly what is going on at the moment. If you decide to use the program, read the installation instrucitons carefully to see what is being added to your computer.
