Sound Server MP3 Player

Sound Server has a few really unique features. The ability to play to multiple sound cards (mixing anyone?) and it can run multi-instances to feed those cards.

Visually it can use Winamp skins, it has three windows (database, playlist, eq/player).

Other Features:

- Show current Song / Group in Bigscreen (or Wallpaper)
- Crossfading (DirectX 5 is required / SP 4 for NT)
- Import Winamp playlists.
- Statistics can be printed
- Use Winamp-Skins.
- Export database to text-file.
- Save MP3 to WAV files.
- Timer: Start and stop playing at a userdefined time.
- All windows dock seemlessly.
- Search the Internet for artists homepage, lyrics, MP3s, CDs, books and guitar tablature.
- Drag & Drop throughout the whole program.
- Playing History.

The coolest thing about this player is its database manager. You can control songs across multiple drives, formats, dice playlists at will. Worth a look. (Release Status: Freeware for private use)

Sound Server: V3 : Win95 Win98 WinNT Win2k : (release status: Freeware)
