Robs MP3 Player MP3 Player

Great mp3 player organizer. Clearly one made by a mp3 fanatic. Has a bunch of organization controls I wish other players had.

  • Robs Stupid Mp3 Player does everything you need for listening to and managing your mp3 collection except ripping the files. I chose not to do this because there are so many fine ripping tools out there already. Robs Stupid Mp3 Player does all of the following and then some:
  • Sorted display of artists, albums and songs.
  • Automatically displays album cover of album when playing.
  • Support for .BMP, .JPG and .DIB for album covers.
  • Single button album cover download.
  • Single button online album info viewing.
  • Time variable album cover aniumation.
  • 0 CPU time 12 band equalizer with adjustable bandwiths.
  • EQ sliders have variable frequency range.
  • You can save EQ settings for each album and they automatically reload when playing song from that album.
  • Internal 10 mode search engine searches 1000 items per second by artist, album, song, etc.
  • Songs playable from search engine dialog.
  • All random modes are configurable to exclude songs that have been played in intervals between 1 day and a year.
  • 2 different automatic random modes.
  • 6 different manual random modes.
  • Player can randomly choose from songs on playlist.
  • Unlimited number of playlists.
  • Supports up to 24 different music sources.
  • Remembers which users like which music sources.
  • Remembers which playlist mode each user likes.
  • Remembers which screen mode each user set last.
  • Selectable one of 3 internal mp3 decoder engines, including variably buffered mode to expedite smooth playing on machines down to P5-60.
  • Full version comes with remote player server that several GUIs can control simultaneously over any TCP/IP connection. (Network, Internet, etc.) and acts exactly like local player with the exception of remove song from queue function (coming soon).
  • Automatic support for both artist/album naming conventions.
  • Allows mixing of both naming conventions in each source.
  • Makes sure all your music is backed up.
  • Remembers volume name of backup media for each album.
  • Prints backup CD inserts complete with album covers.
  • 2 click export of tab delimited artist, album, and song names for Excel import.
  • Extended Album information (song size, location, source, date ripped, last time played, etc) is accessible by clicking on the album cover.
  • Clicking on the album cover in the extended info dialog brings up Windows Explorer window of album directory.
  • Disabled album treated just like enabled while song is playing in multi-GUI remote player mode.
