This cool Infarared remote receiver unit allows you to use your computer like a stereo by giving you remote control access to dozens applications, like MP3 players Winamp and others. Irman can be used in many ways, for example to control a software program while you are in another room.
Irman can receive the infrared signals transmitted by all sorts of remotes. It converts these signals to computer commands understood by software in your PC. This software is integrated into the programs listed below. Irman has been tested with over 40 different brands of remotes, they all work. On Demand remote control system enables remote playing of MP3 files on Pentium computers. The corded connected unit connects to a serial port, and includes song searching functions and a LCD read-out display. Originally designed as a head unit for an automobile system, the unit is (8" x 3" x 1 3/8") big. The controller is removable from it's base for automotive use. It mounts on a standard cell phone hanger. An LCD is a Super Twist 4x40 character with yellow LED back lighting is included. The data cable connects to a serial port. The software allows you to search the file list sequentially, search alphabetically or random. 99 songs can be programmed to play in succession. Windows Shutdown and restart are also included. Four drive paths can be programmed and switched between on the fly. CDs and hard drives can be accessed using the "Change directory" mode. (9x/NT). Function buttons are integrated into the face.

The AudioReQuest home stereo component encodes, stores, and plays popular digital compression audio formats. AudioReQuest encodes audio compact discs into compressed MP3 files directly from it's CD player tray! A USB connection is available for optional connection to a PC. There is also a optional keyboard.
150 hours of high quality digital music can be stored and organized in the home stereo component. AudioReQuest also provides another fun feature that connects to your television and a cool visualizer mode plays animations to the beat of music as it plays. Why anyone would want a tape drive in this day-and-age is questionable at best. The 120-minute DDS cassette cartridge can store about 1000-average 3 minute tunes at 128kbps (although company promos suggest 2000 songs). Cassettes run about $10 for a tape. The player offers your standard fare of supported formats including .mpg, .mov, .vod, and .dat). List Price: $399 Estimated street price, $299.

This rack mount system carries an impressive array of features at an impressively high price. Geared to wards the net broadcaster, the Audioactive encoder system (not to confused with the software of the same name) features an encoder, which offers more processing power than systems A dedicated dsp chip based compression engine and a pro quality 18 bit analog-to-digital converter. Audio input is via balanced analog (XLR) or digital (AES/EBU) inputs. Outputs are RS-232 or standard TCP/IP. The front panel includes an LCD display and LED input metering. Bitrate and other settings are adjusted via a RS-232 port or a
TCP/IP (telnet or web browser) interface. Each encoder package is bundled

The MP3-ROM, a stand-alone MP3 CD player that needs no PC. Its plug and play system is as simple as connecting speakers or headphones. Just insert an MP3 CD and press Play or use the remote control.

Again, very little is known about this player/stand alone browser. Another press release was all I could come up with.
TVPC MP3 is new device that allows you to connect to your TV and surf the web from your easy chair with the included remote keyboard. Unlike WebTV, TVPC MP3 lets you choose your own ISP. So no more having to use WebTV's proprietary service.
TVPC MP3 also supports the latest internet standards such as Java and Real Audio. WebTV does not. TVPC MP3 also supports the new MP3 audio standard. This means you can capture MP3 files from the Internet and play them back on your home entertainment system.
TVPC MP3 allows you to connect to your audio/visual equipment easily and quickly. TVPC MP3 can also be connected to a regular PC monitor if you want. TVPC has outputs for, S-Video, Composite video, audio left/right. TVPC MP3 also has inputs for a wired keyboard and mouse, although a wireless keyboard with built in mouse is included in the price.
