SCMPX has a builtin encoder. Plays on as little as a 486-133. Does a suprising job of re-sampling WAV -> WAV, in both stand alone and batch mode. The double size mode is a bit chunky (jaggies) looking but not to bad. Has a bar mode (winshade). The convertor is pretty good - not to many players will work in a batch mode like SCMPX does. Good cpu utilization and only takes a little over a meg of ram to run.

SCMPX has stand alone installation - no need for those @$%#! install programs that spam your system dir with dll's while you are not looking! Seriously, after running all this software for these reviews, its a rare treat to run into a program like SCMPX that dezips and runs outta the box without thinking its master of your windows directory.(/rant)
